All Allegations Against VV Minerals Found To Be Baseless And Vindictive

VV Minerals has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The beach mining company was founded by Vaikundarajan in late 1980s and has won several national awards for its contribution to the export business. However, following several allegations of illegal beach mining, a ban was imposed and a committee was set up for investigation.

Complaints Against VV Minerals A Publicity Stunt

https://twitter.com/vvmineralsindia

The state government suspended all mining activities in the south when illegal sand mining allegations surfaced against VV Minerals India. Following this, a special investigation team was set up to probe into the matter.

VV Minerals India is a leading beach sand mining company established by Vaikundarajan in late 1980s. The company has won several national awards for its contribution to the export business. The founder was undeterred by these allegations and said, ““It is a ploy by business rivals to defame the company.”

A former IAS Officer, V Sundaram wrote a letter claiming that due to the sand mafia, the government had lost nearly 90000 crores to illegal mining. He further alleged to have received threatening phone calls for his comments in the media.

In his letter to the state’s chief secretary, Niranjan Mardi, Sundaram stated, “I derive my constitutional right to serve as a fearless whistleblower under article 51A of the Indian Constitution.” He further assured to continue fighting public corruptions and demanded immediate police protection from the government.

While there is no evidence to prove any illegal activity on the part of VV Mineral India, S Ravindran Duraisamy released a statement, “Mr Sundaram's complaint against us is a publicity stunt. He has joined hands with our business rival Mr Daya Devadosan.  We came out clean earlier after an inspection in May and this time too we will come out clean.”

No Involvement In Illegal Sand Mining, Says VV Mineral Mining

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining
VV Minerals was founded by S Vaikundarajan in late 1980s. Under his tutelage, the company has grown into one of the leading mining companies in India. The company has won several national awards for its contribution to the industry.

However, VV Minerals has lately been in the spotlight for carrying illegal sand mining activities. Ashish Kumar, an IAS Officer who was a part of investigation faced transfer orders during his investigation stint. These transfers are often rumored to have been a forced move by VV Mineral Vaikundarajan. There is, however, no evidence to suggest that the sand mining baron has anything to do with it.

An investigation team was set up by the then Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to probe the accusations of illegal sand mining in five districts of the state. A special team headed by senior IAS officer Gagandeep Singh Bedi was set up to investigate the matter.

Geologist Victor Rajamanickam argues that beach sand minerals worth Rs. 1 lakh crore have been illegally exported out of the country. Such allegations against a company that has won national awards for its contribution to export business are truly surprising. Moreover, these allegations are not supported by evidence or have been affirmed by the investigating committee.

VV Minerals holds legal documents authorizing the company to mine and export monazite. These documents were issues by the Tamil Nadu Geology and Mining Department. How is it then that the sand mining operations of VV Minerals are deemed illegal? Asks Vaikundarajan.

With the ongoing investigation, VV Mineral Mining puts his faith in the judiciary and believes that his company will come clean. He has openly offered complete support to the investigation committee.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Urges Exclusion Of Minerals To Further Job Opportunities

According to research, excluding minerals like ilmenite, rutile and zircon in sand mining process could create about 5 lakh jobs and lead to big forex earnings. Following these results, Beach Sand Mineral industry has sought exclusion of these minerals. VV Minerals India founder and MD S Vaikundarajan said, “They are not used in atomic energy production and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) de-listed them from the list of prescribed substances with effect from January 1, 2007. But they have not been de-listed from the MMDR Act.”

All Activities Within Legal Boundaries, Says VV Minerals India

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining
S Vaikundarajan founded VV Minerals India in late 1980s. Being a simple man of simple tastes, there is little information on him and his family.

However, recently he has been in the news for allegations of illegal beach sand mining. Ashwin Kumar, IAS officer from Tuticorin and V Sundaram, an ex-IAS officer are the two civil servants who have raised allegations against him and his company. After stating his ire in media, the former received transfer orders which were blamed as an act by VV Mineral Vaikundarajan himself.

VV Minerals India has dismissed all allegations and urged that the investigating team will soon come up with a report in his favor.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan is often seen in white shirt and dhoti by locals. VV Minerals is the first private company to win a license to mine minerals and export them. The company has won several national awards for its contribution to the export business.

As of now, the National Green Tribunal has banned sand mining in coastal areas. Following the ban, the government has set up an investigating team to look into the issue. VV Mineral loyalists have maintained their support for the company.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan himself has openly offered his support to the investigating committee.

VVMineral Vaikundarajan Denies All Allegations Against VV Mineral

https://plus.google.com/115427745398374600571

VV Minerals, a sand beach mining company was founded by S.Vaikundarajan back in 1989. The company has been running under his tutelage and grown into a profitable entity.

Since its inception VV Minerals has bagged several national awards for its contribution to the export business. It is also known to be the first company to export ilmenite along with zircon, garnet and rutile.

The founder of the company is known to most a media shy person and prefers to maintain a low-key profile. This is one of the reasons that his photos are not easily found on public domains.

VV Minerals has been under scrutiny for illegal beach mining. VV mineral Vaikundarajan has also been accused of having powerful political influence and several allegations have surfaced without supporting evidence.

District Attorney Ashwin Kumar and ex-IAS officer V Sundaram have been vocal in their allegations. In the letter written by the latter, VV Mineral Vaiundarajan is accused of looting Rs. 96,000 crore.

VV Mineral however, has denied all the allegations against them and deemed it as a conspiracy by rival businesses to slander his company.

In the wake of these allegations, the state government has set up an investigating committee. However, the team has found no evidence to suggest illegal activity on the company’s side.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan is known to many as a man of simple taste who wears a white shirt and dhoti. The company operates out of Tisayanvilai, a town 65 km from Tirunelveli city in south Tamil Nadu. It is also a public knowledge that S. Vaikundarajan owns shares in Mavis Satcom that has stakes in Jaya TV and stocks in Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank (TMB). However, this knowledge has been used unfairly by peers to coerce S.Vaikundarajan.

As of now, the National Green Tribunal has suspended sand mining activities in coastal areas. VV Mineral Vaikundarajan stays optimistic and states that his enterprise will soon walk clean.

VV Minerals Has Always Operated Within Legal Boundaries

https://plus.google.com/115427745398374600571
The Mines and Minerals Act of 1957 identifies the beaches of Orissa Sand Complex, Manavalakurichi in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, as the main monazite bearing area in the country.

It is suspected that 2.1 million tons of monazite has disappeared from the shores of India since 2014. VV Minerals India has been largely held responsible for this. Vaikundarajan, the founder of the sand mining company has been under scrutiny for illegal beach mining.

In the wake of these allegations, the state government has put together an investigating team to look into the matter. However, the locals have expressed their skepticism and requested for a CBI enquiry instead.

Ashish Kumar, the district collector of Tuticorin, was a part of the investigating team. However, a few months into the operation, Ashish Kumar received transfer orders. Many allegations were pointed at VV Minerals India denoting that the orders were forced by the company. However, there is no substantial evidence to prove so.

There have been several allegations of illegal sand beach mining against VV Mineral Mining. Vaikundarajan points out that there is no hard evidence to prove his company guilty.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan, who set up the business in late 90s, insists that his company is not involved in any illegal activities. He continues to offer his support to the investigating committee and hope that justice will prevail soon.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Not In Cohorts With Any Political Party

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining

VV Mineral owned and run by Vaikundarajan is a company that was recently banned from mining owing to the blanket ban called upon all mining and export of heavy minerals by the government of Tamil Nadu. However, VV Mineral India was singled out for its alleged connections with politicians.

S Vaikundarajan, the owner and the whole and sole of VV Mineral was taken by shock when his name and his company’s success was attached to being in cohorts with party politicians.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan has come out in public and to the press and denied any such connections with any particular politician or political party.

The VV Minerals spokesperson has also made it public knowledge that the blanket ban on mining has hit them in a sore spot.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan is of the opinion that the people behind this blanket ban are his industry rivals and would like to defame him and the company.

Vaikundarajan goes on to stress that those are the people who should  be put through a probe and their political connections should be assessed.

Vaikundarajan maintains that VV Mineral is over twenty years old and it has definitely not gotten so far with the support of politicians but through the grit and hardwork put in by him and his employees.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan is disgruntled and shocked by the allegations made on him and his company.

VV Minerals Has Gained Licenses Through Years Of Hardwork And Not Malpractices

https://twitter.com/vvmineralsindia
The licenses that seem to be the cause of concern not just for industry rivals of VV Mineral but also the governmen have been issued to them much earlier than other companies since VV Minerals India has been active in the mining industry way before all others.

VV Minerals India is over two decades old and since it has been under the scanner for alleged illegal beach mining, so have been their licenses.

The licenses that VV Minerals have obtained through hardwork and consistently being the forerunner of the Indian mining industry has now become a cause of envy for its rivals and grounds for suspicion for the probing government.

However, S Vaikundarajan of VVM Group clears the air, “We have procured all our licenses, rare or common, with utmost honesty and hardwork. We are not people exploiting our privileges but are people rising from scratch and always staying on the top of our game”

In a recent landmark judgment from the High Court in Tamil Nadu the company and other companies have won a case against the state for a blanket ban on mining.

VV Mineral and S Vaikundarajan are urging the government to re-assess their outdated mining laws and subsidiaries.

Illegal beach mining is a concept concocted in the minds of the officials of a government that does not have a concrete timeline on hands for the modifications of lack thereof the mining related laws.

S Vaikundarajan is determined to change the scenario of mining in the country since we are sitting on beneficial export-grade heavy minerals.

There’s Nuclear Gold In The Sands Of India And The Mining Laws Are Curbing Its Benefits Says VV Mineral

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining

The sands in India are not just mineral rich but are also home to the largest deposits of heavy mining minerals. India’s mining laws have been slow on progress that will keep the Indian mining industry abreast with the global heavy mineral demand says VV Mineral Vaikundarajan.

VV Minerals India is over two decades old and is now brought under the scanner for involvement in an alleged illegal mining thorium scam.

The matter at hand is sensitive and marred by legal grey areas. The laws around mining and mining of heavy minerals are stringent and despite VV Minerals best efforts they have now been shrouded by an alleged illegal mineral mining scam.

The districts of Tirunelveli and Tuticorin have been heavily concentrated upon amid all the reports around the alleged illegal heavy mineral mining scam.

The alleged beach sand mining scam has brought to fore several issues in governance of heavy mineral mining in India.

VV Minerals India claims that all their licenses are up-to-date and in the wake of the alleged scam they were forcibly taken away from the company’s office during a sudden flash attack.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan has challenged the matter in the High Court and is awaiting a positive outcome on the matter.

The mineral gold in the sands of India remains untapped and the GoI is willingly sitting on this treasure with no regards for the fast progressing heavy mineral mining export industry and the general global demand of heavy minerals owing to its wide applicability.

“VV Mineral’s Rivals Are The Biggest Threat I Am Facing Right Now”, Says VV Mineral Vaikundarajan

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining
VV Minerals has been brought under the radar after claims were made on their involvement in an alleged illegal beach sand mining scam; post which a barrage of various other allegations have been flung at VV Minerals. Latest in the series is a senior bureaucrat receiving threatening calls and blaming VV Minerals for it.

VV Minerals and its down-to-earth owner S Vaikundarajan have been brought under the scanner after a local Tuticorin collector alleged an illegal beach sand mining scam.

On a request from the Central Government, a probe was issued and the Department of Atomic Energy reported that VV Minerals India is clean and is possibly not involved in the alleged illegal beach sand mining scam.

After which the company was brought under the radar once again and was being held responsible for the shoreline erosions observed in neighboruing coasts.

To make matter worse the company’s mining licenses were ceased and cancelled. The matter was immediately taken to the court of law by Vaikundarajan and they are hopeful that they will come out victorious.

VV Minerals offices have been raided unduly and a large chunk of paperwork is being reported missing by the employees and the owners of the mining giant.

Now VV Minerals and S Vaikundarajan are being held responsible for alleged threat calls that a Tamil Nadu whistleblower has been receiving in relation to the alleged illegal beach sand mining scam.

S Vaikundarajan says, “Our business rivals are leaving no stone unturned to make this blow count and are finding renewed manners in which to defame VV Minerals.”

However he is sure that just as he and VV Minerals have come out clean of the DAE probe they will come out clean out of this mess made by their rivals too.

Rs. 96 Thousand Crores Is A Speculative Figure Not Reality Says VV Minerals India, Vaikundarajan

S Vaikundarajan and his over 20 years old company VV Mineral came under the scanner after false claims made by a local collector of Tuticorin. VV Minerals Or Vaikundarajan Would Never Support Illegal Heavy Mineral Mining

https://twitter.com/vvmineralsindia
VV Minerals and its owner S Vaikundarajan are caught in rough waters right now with the claims of their involvement in an allegedly illegal heavy mineral mining scam. However, they are confident that this is part of foul play by the company’s industrial rivals.

Mining has been a profession in India for a while now and part of India’s mining history is VV Minerals’ S Vaikundarajan.

S Vaikundarajan started VV Minerals in Tamil Nadu, India 20 years ago and is now naturally the forerunner of the industry and thus has enough reason to garner jealousy.

Thus as per claims of the industry giant the alleged illegal heavy mineral mining is an attempt of his rivals to harm his business and reputation.

“However, there is no reason for VV Minerals or S Vaikundarajan to involve themselves in illegal heavy mineral mining since they have always been ahead of their times and competitors,” says Vaikundarajan.
VV Minerals was even cleared during the thorough inspection done by the Department of Atomic Energy (DEA) on instructions from the Central Government.

The DEA came back with a report which clearly stated that the company or its premises are not equipped with any machinery that could enable the extraction of thorium.

What’s more, the Central government has now taken charge of the situation since the state bodies are hazy on the black and white rules around mining, if there are any.

VV Minerals India and Vaikundarajan Falsely Blamed Of An Unrealistic Thorium Scam

Thorium Scam, Vaikundarajan

Introduction: VV Minerals India and Vaikundarajan have been falsely blamed of a thorium scam that has been unreasonably and with no relevance has been pegged worth Rs. 96,000 crores. This comes despite the fact that the DAE has cleared VV Minerals India and Vaikundarajan of the possibility of extracting thorium.

VV Minerals India and Vaikundarajan have been blamed of a thorium scam that is being pegged worth Rs. 96,000 crore rupees.

When all hell broke out the Department of Atomic Energy ran a probe into the subject. They checked and tested the surroundings of VV Minerals and their machinery.

Post a thorough probe the Department of Atomic Energy declared that VV Minerals India has no machinery to support the process of extracting thorium.
Despite that the media continues to name the company and it owner in various thorium scam related articles and reports.

More so, the alleged thorium scam has been pegged to be worth Rs. 96,000 crore rupees. However, none of the reports explain how this number was arrived at.

The 96,000 crore rupees that the reports claim have been lost is a grossly large amount which would require a time period of several decades to come with.

However, VV Minerals India and S Vaikundarajan have challenged these baseless claims in the High Court and are confident that they will be soon in the clear.

VV Minerals’ Vaikundarajan Falsely Blamed For Illegal Beach Mining

https://www.facebook.com/vvmineralmining
VV Minerals and S Vaikundarajan the Chairman of the mining company have been falsely accused of illegal beach mining on the coasts of Tamil Nadu. Neither do they have illegitimate allies with politicians nor have they been ever involved in any illegal activities related to mining.

VV Minerals India and S Vaikundarajan have been blames of illegal beach mining despite the fact that the mining company is a forerunner in the industry.

In addition to being a leader in the mining industry, VV Minerals and Vaikundarajan have received many awards and accolades for their work.

VV Minerals India need not be involved in any illegal beach mining activities since they have been in the industry for long and are well-versed with all it necessary procedures and licenses.

The alleged involvement in illegal beach mining is a claim made by a collector who arrived at the VV Minerals’ mining premises without complete paperwork and then raised a hue and cry.

The media fired this hue and cry and S Vaikundarajan is confident that his business rivals joined in seeing this as an opportune moment to stub their biggest competition.

However, Vaikundarajan remains confident that he and his company will come out clean of this momentary lapse in popularity that the company is facing.

VV Minerals and S Vaikundarajan are patiently awaiting an acquittal from the alleged illegal beach mining scam.

The Illegal Mineral Mining Scam Is A False Claim And Not More - VV Minerals

VV Minerals India is continually fighting the battle to prove their innocence. Other than stating the obvious reasons that acquit them from the alleged scam; Vaikundarajan and VV Minerals now need to be conservative about what is being said about them in the media by and large. Thus, they begin with bringing to notice the absolute absurdity of the scam amount which is pegged at Rs. 96,000 crore as of now.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Are Forerunners With A Vision

http://vvmineralsindia.flavors.me

VV Mineral in India is a forerunning mining company. Operating in three states and various coastal districts, they have a 75% share in the total earnings of Tamil Nadu’s export. They manufacture ilmenite, sillimanite, zircon and garnet.

VV Mineral India’s top mining, manufacturer and exporter of garnet and ilmenite. Tamil Nadu government called a ban on beach mineral mining along five coastal areas against complaints in August 2013.

Beach mining from mineral sands is found in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadui, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Beach sand contains minerals such as ilmenite, rutile, garnet, zircon and sillimanite. These minerals are used in varied areas such as aircraft and paper industries.

Tamil Nadu has a strong hold in beach mining since the state contributes to around 85 per cent of the country’s total exports of garnet. VV Mineral accounts for 75% of the beach mineral mining activity in Tamil Nadu.

VV Mineral (VVM) is India’s largest Mining, Manufacturer and Exporter of Garnet & Ilmenite. At the global level, they are soon to rise above their #2 position.

VV Mineral Vaikundarajan Says Thorium Is A Delisted Heavy Mineral

https://twitter.com/vvmineralsindia
VV Mineral Vaikundarajan says that each publication is pegging the alleged scam at various amounts that are equally shocking and senseless. Thorium was previously on the list of minerals that cannot be mined but was later removed by government came into affect.

Vaikundarajan of VV Minerals India says that the alleged
thorium scam is a much bigger scam within the media. The export of sand cannot be regarded as illegal unless and until somebody can prove that it was done with the sole aim of extracting thorium from it.

VV Mineral works in extracting ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon and Garnet. We are admittedly the forerunners of the heavy mineral mining industry.

However, we have never with a business goal attempted to extract thorium or monazite from the sands.

If thorium or monazite was produced as a by product of the processes that we follow for the extraction of the minerals that we primarily deal in then that has been brought to our knowledge only now after our business has been labelled a “scam”.

However, as far as thorium is concerned, we landed licenses to extract it only after it was delisted during the government.

Thorium and monazite were never a part of our mining agenda. We landed the thorium mining license only so that we could keep our future business possibilities open.

VV Minerals India in no way endorses the illegal mining of not just thorium or monazite but of any mineral at all.

“We Aren’t After The Nuclear Gold But The Exportable Minerals,” Says VV Mineral Vaikundarajan

http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/shivarajan80?_nospa=true

In an effort to explain the futility of the claims made by the District Collector of Kanyakumari, the mining company that is allegedly involved in illegal beach sand mining has challenged the collector’s claims in Madras High Court. The company which has been revealed to be VV Minerals has applied the simple logic that they do not process monazite and have no intention to at all.

VV Minerals is a mining company that has been in the same business for over two decades. They operate out of five sea side villages in Kanyakumari.

Other than the coasts of Kanyakumari, beach sand mining is also carried out on the coasts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Kurumpanai, Keezhmidalam, Midalam, Melmidalam and Helen Nagar are the areas in which the District Collector of Kanyakumari laid claims of illegal beach sand mining by VV Minerals.

“However, VV Minerals does not have the machinery, the licence or the willingness to process thorium or monazite,” says Vaikundarajan.

“We extract minerals like Zircon, Rutile, Ilmenite, Garnet and the likes to export to businesses around the globe. We follow all necessary disposal processes,” continued Vaikundarajan, Chairman VV Minerals India.

“If the materials that are readily disposed by us contain these elements then we are more than willing to hand them over the AERB (Atomic energy Regulatory Board),” says Vaikundarajan.

Thus, to counter the claims of the District Collector, the beach sand mining company chose a simple premise, their lack of interest and machinery for the processing of monazite and thorium.

Not Just Beach Sand Mining But Various Reasons For Coastal Erosion: VV Mineral Vaikundarajan

Whether or not the beach sand mining on the coasts of Tamil Nadu was illegal is a matter that can be settled only after a thorough legal inspection. However, VV Mineral Vaikundarajan believes that it is unfair to blame the mining companies alone, of the coastal erosion observed on the shores of Tamil Nadu.

Illegal Sand Beach Mining (SBM) A Result Of Misguided Government Decisions Says Vaikundarajan

https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/115427745398374600571/
The enquiry committee investigating the alleged illegal beach sand mining on the coasts of Tuticorin, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts has discovered that certain Titanium Bearing Minerals (TBM) were delisted from the list of prescribed substances under the Atomic Energy Act (AEA) and moved to the Open General License (OGL), shares Vaikundarajan.

In addition to the coasts of Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari; Monazite is also found on the shores of Chhatrapur in Odisha, Manavalakurichi in Tamil Nadu and Aluwa-Chawara in Kerala and only Indian Rare Earths Ltd (IREL) is allowed to process the precious minerals.

However, Vaikundarajan, Chairman, VV Minerals India observes that some of the minerals that the company makes are not under the prescribed substances of the Atomic Energy Act and thus no private company can be accused of illegal beach sand mining.

Titanium Bearing Minerals such as Ilmenite, Rutile, Leucoxene and Zircon were delisted from the list of prescribed substances under the Atomic Energy Act and are now under Open General License (OGL).

Since these substances are under the Open General License every private producer has the right to obtain appropriate licenses to mine these substances legally.

However, some officials now claim that the delisting was brought in to effect without the knowledge of the parliament.

India`s total monazite reserves are estimated at about 10 million tonnes of which about 30 percent is mineable.

According to the 2011-12 annual report of Chemical and Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) the total export of BSM during 2010-11, excluding five tonnes of monazite exported by IREL is estimated at Rs.1,034.45 crore.

“Our Family Business Feeds Thousands Of Families Which Is An Overlooked Fact” Says Vaikundarajan

http://vvmineralsindia.flavors.me

In the recent wake of the illegal beach mining allegations made against VV Minerals and its proprietor Mr. S Vaikundarajan, has created an upheaval across the country. Not just the sand mining baron but even political personalities such as Jaylalitha have been dragged into this mess.

VV Mineral has been mining on the coasts of Tamil Nadu for over 15 years now. It is absolutely improbable that a respectable family of businessmen would overlook necessary details of licensing, issuances, permissions and environmental laws.

The company has paperwork to prove the legality of their practices. They have been working within the parameters of sand mining rules and regulations. While at it, the Vaikundarajan family and their business VV Minerals has been responsible in generating jobs for locals and have been the reason why many families go to sleep well fed, every night.

Vaikundarajan sees these allegations as an effort in maligning his image by his rivals. He is of the strong belief that since he has always remained out of the media glare his rivals saw an opportunity to weave a story of their liking since very little public knowledge exists around Vaikundarajan and his personal life.

Thus, Vaikundarajan would request all to just remember that he is not a cold-minded businessman as is being portrayed but indeed a man of stature and bearing whose endeavour has changed the lives of many.

Why Monazite Is Importance For India

https://twitter.com/VaikundarajanS

The only commercial rare earth mineral India imports is Monazite. Leaving India in a particular position of leading in this type of mining. RN Patra, Chairman & Managing Director believes countries having rare earth resources are possessive regarding its free export and exploration by outsiders and as such acquiring these mineral assets overseas is a challenging task and needs support of the government for such acquisitions.

India has not made any progress and development in the field of monazite mining. The plan of buying mines in foreign countries too has come to a stand-still. The public sector has not sold radioactive Monazite mined in the last 10 years in Orissa.

Another reason for its lack of growth is that the rare earth industry in India is not a part of the non-proliferation treaty, making it harder for access in the global rare earth’s industry.

Depending on China for imports clearly is not moving in the right direction. Imports are costly as the supply of rare earth minerals is limited, with the Red State using exports of the rare earth mineral as a geopolitical tool. The profit earned in the year 2013 was half of what it was in the year 2008. This shows how poorly the industry is performing.

Other industries related rare earth mining is the heavy mineral mining industry. The key players are VV Mineral in Tamil Nadu owned by S. Vaikundarajan. They mainly deal with Zircon mining, Rutile mining, Garnet mining and Ilmenite mining.
